Psychotherapy Services

I offer individual psychotherapy for clients aged 13 and older, with a focus on the key developmental stages from adolescence through early adulthood. This includes support for teens (13–18), young adults (18–25), and those in early adulthood (25–30). Each stage comes with its own milestones, transitions, and emotional challenges. I’m here to support you through those turning points and help you step into the next version of yourself. I offer virtual sessions through a secure, confidential online platform, so you can access support from the comfort of your own home.

Support for Teens (Ages 13 to 18)

Adolescence is a foundational stage for developing emotional regulation, self-awareness, and identity. Many teens face academic, athletic, or social pressures while quietly struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, or relationship stress. It’s common for patterns to emerge during this stage, such as people pleasing, emotional shutdowns, internalized self-criticism, or struggling to manage big feelings in a healthy way.

I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where teens can express themselves freely and begin to better understand what they’re feeling and why. Often, teens don’t have many places where they can fully be themselves without fear of judgment or pressure.

Therapy offers that space, a place to land, reflect, and feel understood. At their own pace, I support teens in building the emotional tools and confidence they need to feel more grounded, capable, and connected.

Support for Emerging Adults (Ages 18 to 25)

This stage often includes major transitions such as starting post-secondary education, entering the workforce, building independence, or navigating new relationships. Many young adults feel overwhelmed by the pressure to figure everything out while still discovering who they are.

Common patterns of feeling behind can start to emerge, especially when it seems like everyone else is moving forward with confidence. University or college is often far more challenging than high school, both academically and emotionally, and it can stir up old expectations held by parents or internalized during earlier years. When reality doesn't match those expectations, it can lead to insecurity, self-doubt, or a sense of failure.

In therapy, we take the time to slow down, explore the internal patterns that may be getting in the way, and begin building a stronger, more resilient sense of self—one that feels grounded in who you are, not who you think you're supposed to be.

Support for Young Adults (Ages 25 to 30)

Early adulthood is often a time of recalibration. This stage may involve refining long-term goals, navigating career growth or change, managing evolving relationships, and learning to lead your own life without the structure of school, family expectations, or predefined steps.

It’s common for patterns to surface during this time, such as difficulty setting boundaries, questioning past choices, feeling disconnected from your values, or struggling with burnout and self-doubt. Many individuals in this stage find themselves reflecting on what success really means and whether the path they’re on truly aligns with who they are.

Therapy offers space to pause, reflect, and explore what’s working, what’s not, and what might need to shift internally. Together, we focus on emotional insight, boundary setting, identity development, and creating a life that feels more intentional and aligned with who you are becoming.

My Clinical Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative, client centered, and tailored to your individual needs, goals, and stage of life. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities and believe there is no one-size-fits-all model. Together, we’ll choose approaches that feel relevant and helpful for you.

Therapy is a collaborative space, your insights, questions, and feedback are always welcome. I don’t see myself as the expert on you... you are. I believe in building a therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect, where there is no hierarchy or power imbalance. You are the expert on your experience, and I’m here to support and guide the process with care and curiosity.

Modalities I Draw From

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

A structured and research-supported approach that helps identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, body, and behaviours are all connected. By exploring these patterns, you can begin to shift unhelpful thinking and respond to challenges in healthier, more effective ways.

Somatic-Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Somatic-CBT)

Blends traditional CBT techniques with body-based approaches. Somatic work focuses on incorporating the body using intentional movements, breath, and awareness to help process emotions, release tension, and build a deeper sense of connection between mind and body.

Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)

This approach helps you tune into your emotions and understand what they’re really trying to tell you. Instead of avoiding or pushing feelings away, EFT supports you in staying present with them, so you can make sense of what you’re experiencing and feel more emotionally connected.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

This approach helps you get to know the different parts of yourself (like the inner critic, perfectionist, or people pleaser) as separate from who you truly are. By understanding these parts with curiosity and compassion, you can reduce inner conflict and feel more calm, confident, and in control.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps you create a different relationship with your thoughts and emotions, so you’re not stuck fighting them or trying to push them away. Instead, you learn to notice what shows up and refocus on making choices that align with your values and what matters most to you.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills

Offers practical tools for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and navigating relationships. These skills are especially helpful for managing strong emotions and interpersonal challenges.

Clinical Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy uses deep relaxation and guided imagery to help you access your subconscious mind. This is the part of you that stores patterns, beliefs, and emotional responses. Clinical hypnotherapy is very different from stage hypnosis. It is a safe and collaborative process focused on your goals. You stay fully aware, in control, and in charge the entire time.

Polyvagal-Informed Practices

Grounded in the neuroscience of safety and regulation, polyvagal-informed practices help clients understand how their nervous system responds to stress and pressure. These tools support emotional regulation by using breath-work, body awareness, and co-regulation techniques to activate the calming branch of the nervous system. In performance settings, this approach helps athletes shift out of fight-or-flight and into focused, confident states.
